Imposter Posing as GST Inspector Caught; Know Details

A Fake GST inspector was apprehended in the city’s Kalyanpur neighbourhood. Posing as a GST inspector, the burglar went to check an eatery in front of IIT-Kanpur.

The restaurant owner apprehended him and turned him over to the police. The cops obtained fake paperwork from the Income Tax Department from him. A lawsuit has been filed against him.

In charge of the Kalyanpur police station According to Dhananjay Pandey, the bogus inspector apprehended has been identified as Mohit Gupta, a resident of Anand Nagar Rawatpur. An FIR has been filed against Anand under the section of cheating and extortion based on the allegation of restaurant operator Rameshwar.
