ICAI releases Excel Utility for Bank Branch Audit – 2024 Edition

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has released Excel Utility for Bank Branch Audit – 2024 Edition.

Branch Audit refers to the investigation of the affairs of the branch of any organization, entity or company.

Auditing a bank branch normally entails a thorough investigation of the bank’s financial records, operations, and internal controls to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards. Once the appointment of the Statutory branch Auditor (SBA) is completed, the planning of the audit will be executed by the Statuary bank Auditor.

Excel Utility for the Audit of Bank Branches is a powerful instrument for simplifying and streamlining the auditing process. It is designed to assist auditors in performing their duties more efficiently, accurately, and consistently, and it is compatible with Microsoft Excel.

ICAI recently released this Excel Utility. The utility was developed by the ICAI’s Centre for Audit Quality to assist members in conducting Bank Branch Audits efficiently.
