October 1, 2025

• On October 1st, banks will be closed in the states of Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Tripura, Odisha, Assam, Sikkim, West Bengal, Kerala, Bihar, Jharkhand, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, Nagaland, and Uttar Pradesh on the occasion of Ayudha Pooja (Maha Navami/Vijayadashami) and Durga Puja (Dasain).

October 2, 2025

• On October 2nd, 2025, all banks will remain closed nationwide, including all Indian states and union territories, for the occasion of Mahatma Gandhi and Dussehra. October 2nd has been set as a national holiday in the entire country.

October 3 and 4, 2025

• Banks in Sikkim will remain closed for the occasion of Durga Pooja (Dasain).

October 6, 2025

• Banks in Tripura and West Bengal will remain closed on October 6, 2025, for the festival of Lakshmi Pooja.

October 7, 2025

• On the occasion of Diwali, Vikram Samvat New Year Day, Govardhan Pooja, Balipadyami, and Laxmi Puja (Diwali), banks will remain closed in Gujarat, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Uttarakhand, Sikkim, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, and Bihar on October 22, 2025.

October 23, 2025

• On October 23, 2025, banks in the states of Gujarat, Sikkim, Manipur, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, and Himachal Pradesh will remain closed on the occasion of Bhaidooj, Chitragupt Jayanti, Laxmi Puja Bhratridwitiya, and Ningol Chakkouba.

• All banks in the states of West Bengal, Bihar, and Jharkhand will remain closed on October 27, 2025, for the celebration of the Chath Puja (Evening Puja) festival.

October 28, 2025

• Banks in Bihar and Jharkhand will remain closed on October 28, 2025, for the festival of Chath Puja (Morning Puja).

• All banks in Gujarat will remain closed for the festival to commemorate Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s birthday on October 31, 2025.
