LIC Launched MyLIC and Super Sales Saathi Apps to Facilitate Insurance Services in India

Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) has launched two new mobile apps for its customers and agents, MyLIC and Super Sales Saathi. These apps were launched by Shri M. Nagaraju, Secretary, Department of Financial Services, Ministry of Finance, in Mumbai. On this occasion, the CEO and MD of LIC, Shri R. Doraiswamy, and other senior officials were also present.
LIC has more than 26 crore (260 million) policies across the country. In such a situation, the aim of these new apps is to make services easier, faster, and digital so that both customers and agents can get better facilities.

What does the MyLIC app do?

MyLIC app is specially designed for customers. It offers many features in one place, such as the following:

  • View and manage all your policies in one place
  • Instant online payment of premium
  • Viewing information about policy benefits in real time
  • Taking a policy loan without paper
  • Updating policies and reactivating lapsed policies
  • Buying a new policy in an easy way
  • Fast and secure identification process through e-KYC

The purpose of this app is to reduce paperwork and provide customers with the facility to manage their own policies.

Who is the Super Sales Saathi App for?

This app is designed for LIC agents and field staff. In this, many digital tools have been given to them to make their work easier:

  • Digital Sales Tools and Presentation Materials
  • Viewing policy status in real time
  • Automated reminders to keep in touch with customers
  • Integrated communication to connect directly with customers
  • Suggestions (nudges) through AI to provide better service
  • Dashboard to track your work and targets

Both these apps are built on LIC’s DIVE (Digital Innovation & Value Enhancement) platform. Its objective is to create a secure and simple digital system for customers, agents, and employees. This step of LIC is a big effort towards making insurance services digital and easy. This will provide fast, transparent, and convenient services to both customers and agents.
