Upper Age Limits for APSC Recruitment 2023:

i) The Eligible Un-Reserved Candidate should be Minimum 21 Years and Maximum 38 Years.

ii) Relaxation in the Upper Age Limits for Reserved {SC/ST(P)/ST(H) and OBC/MOBC/PwBDs shall be as explained in the APSC Recruitment 2023 Advertisement.

Eligibility for APSC Recruitment 2023:

Eligible Applicant should have in possession a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from the Government of India accredited University.

Eligibility Criteria:

i) Only Candidates shall be Eligible to appear for Speed Test at 150 Words Per Minute in English unless he/she had passed the Shorthand Speed test at 120 Words Per Minute in English conducted by the Board constituted and accredited by the Government.

ii) Passing the Shorthand Speed Test at 150 Words Per Minute in English will render the Candidate Eligible for Appointment as Stenographer Grade -l subject to the condition that Appointment on the Stenographer Grade -l (English) Post shall be
conducted only after he/she had rendered a minimum 06 Years’ Service as Stenographer Grade -ll or Grade -lll or in both Cadres taken together. Inclusion of the Candidates’ Names in the Select List is against the probable vacancies only and it will not confer any right for automatic employment to the selected person.

iii) The Candidate applying for the of Stenographer Grade-l must have Registration in the Assam Employment Exchange of /Voter’s lD/PRC issued in Assam for Educational purpose as a Proof of Residency.

Note: Persons already in Regular Government Service, whether in Permanent or Temporary capacity other than Casual/Ad hoc/Daily Wages/Hourly Paid/Contract Basis shall have submit a Declaration that they have informed in writing to their Head of Office/Department that they have applied for the Post as may be read in the APSC Recruitment 2023.

Selection Process under APSC Recruitment 2023:

Eligible Candidate’s Selection on the Stenographer Grade-I (English) Post shall be carried through 03 Stages; i.e., Stage 1: Objective Type Written Test (100 Marks), Stage 2: Stenography Proficiency Test (40 Marks) and Stage 3: Document Verification vide the APSC Recruitment 2023 Advertisement.

Examination Fee for APSC Recruitment 2023:

Requisite Examination Fee to be remitted through Payment Gateways (Debit Card/Credit Card/Net Banking etc.

i) Open Category/General Merit Candidates: Rs. 297.20

ii) Reserved (SC/ST/OBC/MOBC) Candidates: Rs. 197.20

iii) BPL/PwBDs Candidates: Rs. 47.20

iv) Women: Rs.47.20
