BHEL Recruitment 2023: BHEL HRP Varanasi has invited applications for Technician Apprentice Training for the year 2023-24 from diploma holders in the following branches: Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, and Electronics. There is a total of 5 Vacancies available in this recruitment drive. As per BHEL Recruitment 2023 official notification, the training will be for one year as per the Apprenticeship Act, of 1961. The number of vacancies is not final and may be subject to change.
To be eligible for the training, applicants must have a diploma in the relevant branch from a recognized institute and have scored a minimum of 65% marks in case of general/EWS/other backward classes (non-creamy layer) category, and a minimum of 60% marks in case of SC/ST candidates. As per BHEL Recruitment 2023 official notification, the minimum age limit for all categories is 18 years as of May 1, 2023, while the maximum age limit is 27 years for the general/EWS category, 30 years for other backward classes, and 32 years for SC/ST candidates. Applicants with a physical disability of 40% or more are eligible for a relaxation of up to 10 years in the maximum age limit of their respective category.

As per BHEL Recruitment 2023 official notification, the age limit for all categories is a minimum of 18 years as of 01.05.2023. The maximum age limit for the General EWS category is 27 years, for Other Backward Classes (OBC) it is 30 years, and for Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST), it is 32 years.
Additionally, candidates who have a physical disability of 40% or more can avail of a relaxation of up to 10 years beyond the maximum age limit in their respective category.
As per BHEL Recruitment 2023 official notification, the selection process for the training will be based on the marks obtained by the candidates in the written exam, and a merit list will be prepared accordingly. If the number of eligible candidates for a branch is less than or equal to the number of vacancies, then all eligible candidates will be directly called for training.
In case of a tie in the written exam marks, the candidate with a higher percentage in their diploma will be given the first preference, followed by older candidates. The candidate must also have good health to be eligible for the training.
Selected candidates must present a medical certificate from a competent medical officer (appointed by the company in a government hospital in Varanasi) before their appointment. The selection of candidates depends on the health standards set in the Apprenticeship Act of 1961 and the amendments made in 1971, 1986, 2014, and 2015.
Only those candidates who have not worked for one year or more after passing the diploma and have not received any apprenticeship training under the Apprenticeship Act of 1961 and its subsequent amendments are eligible for this apprenticeship training. Additionally, the candidate should not have completed any course for the purpose of employment.
As per BHEL Recruitment 2023 official notification, the Salary for Technician Apprentice will receive a monthly stipend of Rs. 8000/- for a duration of one year.

Candidates must register on the MHRDNATS portal and complete their profile. It is mandatory that the email and mobile number provided for registration are valid since all communication, from registration to the entire training period, will be conducted via email/website/SMS. After registering on the portal, note down the 16-digit registration number (Registration No.) received.
Next, the registration/enrollment number obtained from the portal must be entered in the application form. After filling out the application form completely, self-attested copies of the following documents must be enclosed with the Acknowledgement Slip and sent by post in an envelope addressed to the Technician Apprentice Training for the May 2023 batch, with “Application for Technician Apprentice” written on it, and postmarked no later than April 18, 2023, 5:00 pm.
