Delhi High Court Recruitment 2023: The High Court of Delhi in New Delhi has issued a vacancy notice for the post of Senior Personal Assistant and Personal Assistant. The online applications are invited from Indian citizens or subjects of Nepal for filling up 60 existing vacancies for the posts of Senior Personal Assistant and 67 existing vacancies for the post of Personal Assistant. The applicants should have been born not earlier than 02.01.1991 and not later than 01.01.2005, and the candidate’s age should not be below 18 years and over 32 years as of 01.01.2023. As per Delhi High Court Recruitment 2023 official notification, the essential qualifications for the Senior Personal Assistant post are graduation from a recognized university, a speed of not less than 110 w.p.m. in shorthand (English) and 40 w.p.m. in typewriting (English) on a computer with a good working knowledge of the computer. Similarly, for the post of Personal Assistant, the essential qualifications are graduation from a recognized university, a speed of not less than 100 w.p.m. in shorthand (English) and 40 w.p.m. in typewriting (English) on a computer with a good working knowledge of the computer.
As per Delhi High Court Recruitment 2023 official notification, the online applications for the Senior Personal Assistant and Personal Assistant Examination – 2023 will commence on 06.03.2023 and end on 31.03.2023. The last date for making an online fee payment is 31.03.2023, and the last date for correcting the application form and making online payment of correction charges is 03.04.2023. As per Delhi High Court Recruitment 2023 official notification, the date, time, and venue of the examination will be announced later through a public notice on the official website. The candidates should note that the date of birth as recorded in the Matriculation / Secondary Examination Certificate / Mark-Sheet or an equivalent Certificate only will be accepted for determining the age eligibility.

For the post of Senior Personal Assistant, there are a total of 60 vacancies. Out of these, 11 vacancies are for General category candidates, 10 for EWS, 23 for OBCNCL, 9 for SC, and 7 for ST. The post is classified as Group ‘B’ and falls under the 8th level of the Pay matrix of the 7th CPC.
Out of the total 60 vacancies, there are 4 vacancies reserved for PwD candidates on a horizontal basis. The breakdown of these 4 vacancies is as follows:
For the post of Personal Assistant, there are a total of 67 vacancies. Out of these, 29 vacancies are for General category candidates, 6 for EWS, 17 for OBCNCL, 10 for SC, and 5 for ST. The post is also classified as Group ‘B’ but falls under the 7th level of the Pay matrix of the 7th CPC.

It is important to note that only candidates who possess the essential qualifications as on the last date of submission of online applications are eligible to apply for these posts.
The age limit for candidates applying for the post is between 18 and 32 years as of 01.01.2023. This means that the candidate should not have been born earlier than 02.01.1991 and not later than 01.01.2005. The age eligibility will be determined based on the Date of Birth recorded in the Matriculation / Secondary Examination Certificate / Mark-Sheet or an equivalent Certificate only, and no request for its change will be entertained.

As per Delhi High Court Recruitment 2023 official notification, the selection process for the post of Senior Personal Assistant and Personal Assistant includes four stages: English Typing Test, English Shorthand Tests, Main (Descriptive) Examination, and Interview.
For the post of Senior Personal Assistant, the English Typing Test will assess the minimum typing speed of 40 words per minute on a computer for 10 minutes, and candidates will be allowed a maximum of 3% mistakes of the total words typed. The candidates who qualify in the English Typing Test will move to the English Shorthand Tests stage, where they will have to transcribe a dictated passage of 550 words in 5 minutes and then transcribe the passage on the computer for 45 minutes. The permissible number of mistakes is 3% of the total words dictated, and a maximum of 16.5 mistakes will be allowed. Candidates who qualify in this stage will then appear for the Main (Descriptive) Examination, which will consist of an essay of 250 words, letter writing, grammar, and comprehension passage, and translation from Hindi to English and English to Hindi. Candidates who qualify in the Main (Descriptive) Examination will move on to the Interview stage, which carries a total of 20 marks.
For the post of Personal Assistant, the English Typing Test will assess the minimum typing speed of 40 words per minute on a computer for 10 minutes, and candidates will be allowed a maximum of 3% mistakes of the total words typed.
