Filing Condonation of Delay in E-Verification of Income Tax Return after 120 Days

After filing the ITR, one is required to E-Verify or Physically Sign the same and then ITR is considered as Filed. Now if ITR has been uploaded but same has not been E-Verified or Physically signed, one has to do the same in 120 Days from the date of Uploading Return. Else the ITR is Treated as Invalid. But sometimes, we may forget to E-verify the same, or it may happen that the signed copy has been sent to Bangalore, but the same has not been received. In this case, we still have a chance to File a Condonation of Delay for E-Verification of Income Tax Return [ITR]. This article discusses the same.

Incase ITR is not:

  • A physically Signed Copy has not been Sent to CPC-Bangalore.

Within 120 Days, Condonation of Delay can be Filed.
