Filing Condonation of Delay in E-Verification of Income Tax Return after 120 Days

If ITR has been uploaded but same has not been E-Verified or Physically signed, one has to do the same in 120 Days from the date of Uploading Return. If the same has not been done, Filing Condonation of Delay in E-Verification of Income Tax Return after 120 Days can be done.

Filing Condonation of Delay in E-Verification of Income Tax Return after 120 Days
After filing the ITR, one is required to E-Verify or Physically Sign the same and then ITR is considered as Filed. Now if ITR has been uploaded but same has not been E-Verified or Physically signed, one has to do the same in 120 Days from the date of Uploading Return. Else the ITR is Treated as Invalid. But sometimes, we may forget to E-verify the same, or it may happen that the signed copy has been sent to Bangalore, but the same has not been received. In this case, we still have a chance to File a Condonation of Delay for E-Verification of Income Tax Return [ITR]. This article discusses the same.
Incase ITR is not:
Step 2: Go to Service Request Tab in My Account Tab.
Step 3: Create a request for Condonation of Delay.
Once Request has been filed, you can view the same on Income Tax Portal in Service Request.
- E-Verified, or
- A physically Signed Copy has not been Sent to CPC-Bangalore.
