Government Notifies Appointment of Estate Officers for SEZ Authorities
The Ministry of Commerce and Industry (Department of Commerce) recently shared a notification on October 14, 2025, regarding the appointment of Estate Officers for SEZ Authorities under the Public Premises (Eviction of Unauthorised Occupants) Act, 1971.
In powers given by section 3 of the Public Premises (Eviction of Unauthorized Occupants) Act, 1971 (40). The central government appoints the officers mentioned in column (2) of the table below, being gazetted officers of the government, to be the estate officers for the purposes under that act, within the local limits of their respective jurisdiction in respect of the public premises specified in the corresponding entry in column (3) of the table mentioned below:
Note: This notification will come into effect from the date of its publication in the Official Gazette.

| 5 | Deputy Development Commissioner, Noida Special Economic Zone | All lands and premises under the administrative control and management of the Noida Special Economic Zone. |
| 6 | Deputy Development Commissioner, SEEPZ Special Economic Zone | All lands and premises under the administrative control and management of the SEEPZ Special Economic Zone |
