Govt Establishes New Regional Directors in MCA Under LLP Act, 2008, Effective from January 2026
The Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) under the Ministry of Finance (MoF) has recently issued an official notification [S.O. 4851(E)], dated October 23, 2025, informing that the Central Government has set up certain Regional Directors (RDs) in the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA). The Government has made these establishments in exercise of its powers granted under sub-section (1) of section 68A of the Limited Liability Partnership Act, 2008 (6 of 2009).
These Regional Directors (RDs) will perform all the duties and powers given to them under the Limited Liability Partnership Act, 2008 (6 of 2009), or any powers that the Central Government gives them. Each Regional Director will have a specific area of jurisdiction (area of governance). The following are the details of these newly established Regional Directors in MCA, like their office, location and areas of jurisdiction:
