Eligibility for Gujarat High Court Recruitment 2023:

The Candidate should have gained the following Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Legal Laws Degree awarded by any University established by the Law in India.
• Will have to qualify the Vernacular (Gujarati) Language Proficiency Test.
• Must be practicing as an Advocate in Courts of Civil and/or Criminal Jurisdiction on the Last Date fixed for submission of Online Application.
• The Candidates, who have passed the Degree in Law from the Academic Year 2009-­2010 and onwards, must have also passed the All India Bar Examination (AIBE), in order to be considered as Eligible for being termed as a Practicing Advocate.

Note*: The Candidates working in the Courts or other Allied Departments, must have in possession a Bachelor of Legal Laws Bachelor Legum (LL.B.) Degree of 03 Years’ Course or 05 Years’ Course from the Accredited University.

Selection Criteria under Gujarat High Court Recruitment 2023:

As interpreted in the Gujarat High Court Recruitment 2023 Official Notification, Selection on to Civil Judge Cadre Post consists of 03 Stages and shall be based strictly on Merit derived on the bases of the Candidates’ Marks in Both Written Examinations and Viva voce.

Stage-I: 02-Hours’ Examination Duration Screening Test (Computer-Based Screening Test): The Gujarat High Court Civil Judge Cadre Post mandates 02 Papers; i.e., Paper-I: Preliminary Elimination Test in the Computer-Based Recruitment Test for Maximum 100 Marks. Paper II: Test of Gujarati Language for 50 Marks.

Stage II: The Conventional Written Examination shall consist of 02 Papers for 200 Marks with each Paper for 100 Marks. Each Paper shall span 03-Hours’ Examination Duration.

Stage III: Viva-voce: 50 Marks. With the aim of being considered Eligible for the Final Selection Process, the Candidates must appear in the Viva-voce and qualify the Same. In order to be considered Eligible for Selection on Civil Judge Cadre Post mandates the Candidates to secure 50% Marks in the Written Examination and 40% Marks in Viva-voce.

Final Selection on Civil Judge Cadre Post shall be based strictly on Merit derived on the bases of the Candidates’ Marks in Both Written Examinations and Viva voce.

Examination Fee for Gujarat High Court Recruitment 2023:

As may be taken cognizance of the Gujarat High Court Recruitment 2023 Notification, the Requisite Examination Fee Amounts to be borne by the Candidates for remittance through the HC-OJAS Portal are as follows:

I) Open Category Candidates: Rs. 1000 (Rupees One Thousand) only Plus Bank Charges.

II) SC/ST, SEBC, DAPs, ESM Persons in Gujarat State: Rs.500 (Rupees Five Hundred) only.
