ICAI Takes Action for Tax Audit/ ITR Due date extension: Direct Taxes Committee shares Concerns of Members to CBDT
The Direct Taxes Committee (DTC) of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) shared an announcement on September 23, 2025.
DTC earlier posted an announcement online, asking members to share their specific concerns with DTC through a mass email on September 19, 2025 as the committee were receiving several members‘ concerns regarding the Income-tax portal’s technical glitches and issues in order to send appropriate representation to facilitate timely resolution.
In response to which they have received more than 1200 responses from members till September 23. DTC further thanked members for expressing their concern and informed them through the announcement (dated September 23, 2025) that DTC has collected the members’ concerns and sent them to the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT), asking for quick action.
