ICMAI extends time Limit to undergo MCBT upto 31st Dec 2022

The Institute of Cost Accountants of India(ICMAI) vide Notification No. G/128/06/2022 dated 16th June 2022 extends time granted to undergo MCBT upto 31st Dec 2022.

The Notification is Given Below:

As per the Notification F.No. CWA/21/2019 dated 1st February, 2019 and subsequent corrigendum dated 8th March, 2019,  “A Cost Accountant is required to undergo a mandatory training before applying for Certificate of Practice or within six months of getting the Certificate of Practice”

Practicing members who obtained a Certificate of Practice (COP) on or after February 1, 2019 and have not completed the Mandatory Capacity Building Training (MCBT) and wish to renew their COP for the fiscal year 2022-23.

If members’ Certificates of Practice (COP) are not renewed for the year 2022-23 due to a failure to complete Mandatory Capacity Building Training (MCBT), it may be difficult for those who rely solely on practice, despite compliance with the notified conditions as per Notification F.No. CWA/21/2019 dated February 1, 2019 and subsequent corrigendum dated March 8, 2019.

In light of the foregoing, the Continuing Education Programme (CEP) Committee has decided that practising members who received their Certificate of Practice (COP) on or after February 1, 2019 will be granted an extension of time to complete Mandatory Capacity Building Training (MCBT) until December 31, 2022 and renew their COP for the year 2022-23.”
