ISC Class 12th Biology Syllabus 2024 Out: With the completion of board examinations, the academic session 2022-23 has finally concluded, and the academic session 2023-24 has formally commenced. The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) revealed the complete syllabus for the higher secondary Indian School Certificate (ISC) exams for class 12th which is to be held in 2024. The CISCE published the new syllabus for the Biology subject at the start of this new session. The official syllabus of Biology is now available for download on the official website of the CISCE. Students who will take the board examination in Biology in the 2023-24 academic year should immediately examine the complete curriculum.

Paper I Detailed Syllabus
Paper I will be held for 70 marks during the board exam in 2024. The examination will be conducted for three hours duration. The Physics paper will have an internal choice in two questions of 2 marks each and 3 marks each. The option will be available in all three questions of 5 marks each. The unit-wise distribution of marks is tabulated below:
Paper II Syllabus
The Paper II exam will consist of a Practical examination, a Project Work, and a Practical File. Paper II will be assessed by the subject teacher and a Visiting Examiner appointed locally and approved by the Council.
i) Practical Work
Conducted for 15 marks. The experiments for laboratory work and practical examinations are categorized into 4 major groups:
i) Taxonomy
ii) Simple biochemical and physiological experiments
iii) Slide preparation
iv) Spotting
ii) Project Work
The project contains a weightage of 10 marks. Candidates can prepare their project on topics like Genetic Disorders, Cancer, Bio-piracy, DNA Fingerprinting, Drug Addiction, etc.
