ISC Class 12th Mathematics Syllabus Released for 2024 Board Exam: The syllabus and curriculum details for the higher secondary Indian School Certificate (ISC) exams for class 12th have been issued by the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE). The ISC class 12th Mathematics curriculum for the academic session 2023-24 is now available for download. The paper code for ISC class 12th Mathematics subject is 860. Students should review the syllabus for this key subject as soon as possible in order to perform well in their board exams to be conducted in March 2024.

As the examination cycle has concluded and the new academic session has begun, it is critical to be aware of the syllabus as soon as possible. The CISCE acted quickly, releasing the detailed syllabus at the start of the new academic term. It is critical to understand the complete curriculum so that students have enough time to prepare. The unit-wise weighting assists students in allocating proportional time to each chapter. Knowing the complete syllabus and unit-wise weightage ahead of time allows applicants to devise the optimal exam strategy.

Overview of Mathematics Subject

Mathematics is an essential elective subject in ISC class 12. Mathematics is one of the most dreaded courses for students all over the world, and India is no exception. It’s a popular, if not always purposeful, choice among students, particularly those in the sciences and business. Math is not for everyone, and the ISC’s challenging curriculum just adds to students’ difficulties. However, if a student wishes to succeed in related careers, he/she must master mathematics in ISC class 12.

ISC Class 12th Mathematics Syllabus 2024

The ISC class 12th Mathematics exam is divided into two papers: Paper I and Paper II. The ISC class 12th Mathematics paper is held for 100 marks. Paper I is a written theory examination that is conducted for 80 marks. The duration of the Paper I exam is 3 hours. The Paper II exam consists of Project Work. Candidates will be expected to complete two projects, one from Section A and one from either Section B or Section C.

Paper I Detailed Syllabus

The Paper I will be held for 80 marks diuring the board exam in 2024. The examination will be conducted for three hous. The entire curriculum of Paper I is divided into three sections: A, B, and C. Section A is mandatory for all candidates. Candidates will be given the option of answering questions from either Section B or Section C.

Section A (65 Marks): Candidates must attempt all questions. The internal choice will be offered in two questions of two-mark, four-mark, and six-mark each.

Section B/ Section C (15 Marks): Candidates must attempt all questions from either Section B or Section C. Internal choice will be offered in the form of one two-mark question and one four-mark question.

Paper II Syllabus

Tha paper II cosisit of Projevt works which holds the weightage of 20 marks. Students will have to complete two projects, one from Section A and one from either Section B or Section C. Each Project will hold 10 marks. The project work will be assessed by the subject teacher and a Visiting Examiner appointed locally and approved by the Council. The detailed syllabus for Paper II is mentioned in the official syllabus (atached below).
