ROC Mumbai imposed a Rs. 10,000 penalty on Kisan Mouldings Limited's CMD for accidentally entering the wrong membership number of the newly appointed Company Secretary in E-form DIR-12.

ROC Imposes Penalty for Clerical Error in Company Secretary Appointment Form
Kishan Modelling is limited And its chairman and managing director, Mr Sanjeev Amarnath Agrawal, have been penalised. By the way, the registrar of the company Mumbai Ministry of Corporate Affairs on 7th May 2026 with a penalty order bearing order ID PO/ADJ/05-2026/MH/02100 Signed by Chandan Kumar Register of the company under Section 454 read with Section 450 of the company’s act 2013 This case came into existence due to a clerical error made in the E form DIR per the dated 13 August 2025, which wrongly mentioned the membership. Number of newly appointed companies acquired by Mr. Palak Modi.
Aggarwal digitally signed the form, which was auto-approved in Straight Through Process (STP) mode on the MCA portal. Mr. Aggarwal, realizing the mistake, voluntarily sought suo motu adjudication on March 24, 2026. The adjudicating officer said the default was purely clerical and unintentional in nature. Kisan Mouldings Limited is a public limited company and not a small company; hence, the reduced penalties were not applicable.
Therefore, a penalty of Rs. 10,000 was imposed on Mr. Sanjeev Amarnath Aggarwal to be paid within 90 days from his personal sources, against which he could appeal the order before the Regional Director, RD Mumbai, within 60 days.
