Yantra India Recruitment 2023 for 5395 Vacancies: Check Dates, Eligibility, Salary and Other Details
Yantra India Recruitment 2023: The Skill India Mission is an initiative launched by the Government of India to provide training and employment opportunities to Indian citizens. As part of this mission, the Ordnance & Ordnance Equipment Factories have released a notification inviting online applications for the engagement of Trade Apprentices under the Apprentices Act 1961. The apprenticeship program is aimed at providing training to both ITI and non-ITI candidates in Indian Ordnance Factories located all over India.
As per Yantra India Recruitment 2023 official notification, the total number of vacancies is around 5395, out of which 3508 are for ITI candidates, and 1887 are for non-ITI candidates. Interested candidates are required to apply through the Yantra India Limited website under the “Career” tab. It is important to note that candidates who have already undergone an apprenticeship and have National Apprentice Certificate (NAC) are not eligible to apply. As per Yantra India Recruitment 2023 official notification, the engaged apprentices shall be provided with a stipend during the period of training as per the rules of the Government of India.

As per Yantra India Recruitment 2023 official notification, the Ordnance & Ordnance Equipment Factories have invited online applications for the engagement of Trade Apprentices. There are around 5395 vacancies available in this recruitment cycle. The total number of vacancies is approx. 5395 including 3508 ITI and 1887 Non-ITI.
As per Yantra India Recruitment 2023 official notification, the age limit for the engagement of the 57th Batch of Trade Apprentices Training is between 15 to 24 years as of 28.03.2023. However, relaxation in the upper age limit is permitted as per the category of the candidates. For SC/ST candidates, the age relaxation is for 5 (five) years, and for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) candidates, it is for 3 (three) years.
Additionally, for Physically Handicapped (PH) / Physically Challenged (PC) or Differently Abled Candidates, the age relaxation is for an additional 10 (ten) years over the category limit. That means for UR candidates, the age relaxation will be for a total of 10 years, for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) candidates, it will be for a total of 13 years, and for SC/ST candidates, it will be for a total of 15 years.
For ITI candidates, the upper age limit is further relaxed by the period of training already undergone as per the normal duration of NCVT/SCVT, in the relevant trade. It is important to note that candidates who have already undergone an apprenticeship and have National Apprentice Certificate (NAC) are not eligible to apply.
As per Yantra India Recruitment 2023 official notification, the essential qualification criteria for the Non-ITI category is that the candidate should have passed Madhyamik (class X std or equivalent) with a minimum of 50% marks as per the criteria of that Board (as per their Marksheet) and with a minimum of 40% marks in Mathematics and Science each. For the ITI category, the candidate should have passed the relevant trade test from any institute recognized by NCVT or SCVT or any other authority specified through Gazette notification of the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship/Ministry of Labour and Employment with duration as per the Apprentice Act 1961 with a minimum of 50% marks. Additionally, the candidate must have passed Madhyamik / Class X std or equivalent (Minimum 50% marks in Matriculate / Class X std).
As per Yantra India Recruitment 2023 official notification, the exact amount of stipend paid to apprentices per month is determined by the government and is subject to change from time to time. As of the latest Gazette notification of India, G.S.R. 686(E), Part II-Section 37-Sub-section(i) Dtd. September 25, 2019, the stipend paid to apprentices per month shall be as follows:
It is important to note that no other allowances will be paid during the entire period of apprenticeship training. However, in the case of ex-ITI candidates, the period of training already undergone by them will be considered for the purpose of determining the stipend.
As per Yantra India Recruitment 2023 official notification the application fee for UR & OBC candidates is Rs.200/- plus GST, while for SC/ST/Women/PWD/Others (Transgender), it is Rs.100/- plus GST, and the fee can be paid online through the payment gateway provided on the YIL website.
