CUK Recruitment 2023: The Central University of Karnataka has announced the recruitment of Professors and Associate Professors for various subjects. The university has invited online applications from qualified citizens of India and Overseas citizens of India with valid documents. The details of the vacancies are available on the university’s website, and interested candidates can download them from there. As per CUK Recruitment 2023 official notification The positions are available in various subjects such as History and Archaeology, Psychology, Commerce, Social Work, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Linguistics, Folkloristics & Tribal Studies, Music and Fine Arts, Education, Tourism and Hotel Management, Mass Communication and Journalism, Public Administration, Law, and Foreign Languages.
The recruitment process will begin on 17th March 2023, and the last date for submitting online applications is 17th April 2023. As per CUK Recruitment 2023 official notification, the hard copy of the online application along with all enclosures must reach the university by 25th April 2023. The pay structure for the positions is as per the 7th pay commission and is subject to revision as per the Government of India/UGC. The positions available are for Professors and Associate Professors, and the academic levels for these positions are Level 14 and Level 13A, respectively. As per CUK Recruitment 2023 official notification the pay structure for the positions of Professor and Associate Professor in accordance with the 7th pay commission, which is subject to revision as per the Government of India (GoI)/University Grants Commission (UGC) regulations. The Professor position is designated as Level 14, while the Associate Professor position is designated as Level 13A in the pay matrix.
It is important to note that Notification No.29/2022, which was issued earlier for unfilled posts, has been withdrawn. Additionally, interviews were not conducted for some subjects due to a lack of eligible candidates. Eligible candidates who have previously applied for the same position but were not called for an interview due to a lack of candidates may apply again for this notification.
As per CUK Recruitment 2023 official notification, the eligibility criteria for the positions of Professor and Associate Professor in various fields, including Tourism and Hotel Management and Engineering. The qualifications, experience, and roster points prescribed by various governing bodies like UGC, MoE, DOPT, NCTE, and AICTE are applicable. The format of the Academic/Research Score (Table-2) attached to the leaflet is applicable as per UGC regulations 2018.
For the position of Professor, candidates must have a Ph.D. degree in the relevant discipline, a minimum of ten years of teaching experience in university/college or equivalent, with evidence of successfully guiding at least one doctoral candidate, and a minimum of ten research publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals with a total research score of 120 as per Appendix II, Table 2 as per UGC Regulations 2018. For the position of Associate Professor, candidates must have a Ph.D. degree in the relevant discipline, a minimum of eight years of experience of teaching and/or research in an academic/research position equivalent to that of an Assistant Professor, with a minimum of seven publications in the peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals and a total research score of 75 as per Appendix II, Table 2 as per UGC Regulations 2018.
For recruitment in Tourism and Hotel Management, candidates must have a Ph.D. degree in Tourism/Business Administration/allied/cognate field, a minimum of ten years of experience in teaching/research/industry, and at least six research publications at the level of Associate Professor in SCI journals/UGC/AICTE approved list of journals with a minimum research score of 120, as per Appendix II, Table 2 of UGC Regulations 2018. For recruitment in Engineering, candidates must have a Ph.D. degree in the relevant field, a minimum of ten years of experience in teaching/research/industry, and at least six research publications at the level of Associate Professor in SCI journals/UGC/AICTE approved list of journals with a minimum research score of 120, as per Appendix II, Table 2 of UGC Regulations 2018.

Therefore, the application fee varies for different categories of applicants, and women and PWD applicants are exempted from paying the fee. Payment can be made only online, and it is important to make the payment within the stipulated time to avoid rejection of the application. The application fee is non-refundable, so applicants should ensure that they meet the eligibility criteria before applying. Finally, the online convenience charges will depend on the payment method chosen by the applicant.
As per CUK Recruitment 2023 official notification, the application process for the post advertised by the University is to be done only in online mode. Applicants can visit the University’s website and fill out the application form within the given time limit as mentioned in the advertisement. It is important to note that offline application forms will not be accepted.
After filling out the online application form, applicants must take a printout of the form. The hard copy of the online application form should be sent to the Registrar, Central University of Karnataka, Kadaganchi, Aland Road, Kalaburagi District -585 367. The envelope containing the application form and self-attested copies of testimonials/certificates must be superscripted with the name of the post applied for and the department. The Last date to Apply is 25th April 2023.
