Escorts Kubota Ltd. has received an order from the Deputy Commissioner of State Taxes (Appeal-I), Kashmir, Jammu & Kashmir, confirming a penalty of Rs 10.08 lakh under the GST Act, 2017.
The penalty relates to the detention of goods in transit due to insufficient supporting documents. The company received the order on September 16, 2026.
Escorts Kubota said it plans to challenge the order by filing an appeal before the higher appellate authority. The company has disclosed the matter to the stock exchanges as required under SEBI regulations.
The company said the penalty is the financial impact arising from the order.
