Reliance Industries Faces Rs 1.11 Crore GST Penalty, Company Plans Appeal
The Reliance Industries Limited, India's largest private sector conglomerate, received a penalty order of Rs 1.11 crore from the Deputy Commissioner of State Tax, Jamnagar.
This disclosure is made by Reliance Industries Limited under Regulation 30 of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015. Through which, the company informed about the receipt of the Penalty order on December 23, 2025.
The company added that the penalty order has been issued under Section 73 of the Central Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017 alleging incorrect availment of input tax credit by the company.
However Company does not believe the same and is planning to file an appeal against the order. Company further added that the financial impact of the Order is only the amount of the penalty.
