Jodhpur Tax Bar Seeks Audit Deadline Extension

The Tax Bar Association, Jodhpur, has requested the Union Finance Ministry and the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) to extend the due date for filing Tax Audit Reports for Assessment Year 2026-27.
In a representation dated 18 September 2026, the association said tax professionals and taxpayers are facing practical difficulties in completing tax audit work within the existing deadline of 30 September 2026.
The association has requested that the deadline for furnishing Tax Audit Reports in Form 3CA/3CB along with Form 3CD be extended to 31 October 2026.
The association also asked the CBDT to extend or align the due dates for other related statutory compliances. It said that giving taxpayers and professionals additional time would help them complete the audit and related compliance work properly and avoid last-minute difficulties.
The representation was submitted to the Union Minister of Finance and the Chairperson of the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT).
