Oil India Recruitment 2023: Oil India Limited (OIL) has invited Suitable Candidates with Applications for Recruitment on 02 Contractual Geologists (I&II) Posts to be filled up vide Oil India Recruitment 2023 Official Advertisement No. HRAQ/Cont-Ex-B/23-90 Dated 04.08.2023. The Oil India Recruitment 2023 Official Advertisement has occurred with 02 Vacancies for Contractual Geologist-I and Geologist-II Posts, i.e., 01 vacancy each for both Contractual Geologist Posts, which are to be filled up Purely on a Contractual Basis for Immediate Engagement at the Centre of Excellence for Energy Studies (CoEES), Guwahati.. As may be referred to in the Oil India Recruitment 2023 Official Vacancy Notice, the Walk-in-Interviews for Contractual Selection as OIL Contractual Geologist Posts shall be held on 18.08.2023. Pre-Interview Registration Process shall commence on 09:00 A.M. onwards to 11:00 AM. The Contractual Monthly Emoluments to be disbursed/compensated to the Persons selected as Contractual Geologist I and Contractual Geologist I shall remain as narrated hereunder:
Monthly Emolument: Rs.70000 (Rupees Seventy Thousand) only
*The Total Contractual Emolument comprises Fixed and Variable components.
*Incidental of Rs. 500.00 Per Day for the actual number of days worked for OIL outside the place of Posting.

01) Contractual Geologist-I Post:
I) Educational Qualification: The Candidate must have in possession
i) 02-years’ Regular Post-Graduate Degree in M.Sc./M.Tech. in Geology/Applied Geology from any University/Institute duly recognized by the Central Government.
ii) Philosophiae Doctor (Ph.D) Degree with specialization in Organic Geochemistry.
II) Post-Qualification Work Experience: More than 01 (one) year Post-Qualification Work Experience of in the Geological Laboratory of Oil and Gas Industry/Research Organization/University/Institute.
02) Contractual Geologist-II Post:
I) Educational Qualification: The Candidate must have in possession
i) 02-years’ Regular Post-Graduate Degree in M.Sc./M.Tech. in Geology/Applied Geology from any University/Institute duly recognized by the Central Government.
ii) Philosophiae Doctor (Ph.D) Degree with specialization in Micro-Paleontology.
II) Post-Qualification Work Experience: More than 01-year’s Work Experience of in the Geological Laboratory of Oil and Gas Industry/Research Organization/University/Institute.
The Selection Procedure for both Posts Contractual Geologist -I and Contractual Geologist-II Post under Oil India Recruitment 2023 Official Advertisement involves Walk-in-Interview Pre-Interview Registration.
Contract Period: Post-Selection Contractual Engagement duration for Contractual Geologists I & II will remain 01 (One) year up to Maximum 02 (Two) years. The said Contract period will be extendable depending upon requirement of OIL India Limited, Individual’s performance, conduct, fitness etc
The Detailed Selection Criteria for Drilling (Contractual) Engineer Post shall remain as
i) The Candidate will be selected based on Walk-in-Interview carrying Total 100 Marks.
ii) The Minimum Qualifying Marks will be 50 Marks for all Categories.
iii) The Breakup of 100 Marks will be based on a) Professional Knowledge and Skills (in the concerned Discipline), b) Professional Knowledge and Skills (in the Allied Discipline), and c) Personal Attributes and Soft Skills.
iv) Final Selection of the Appropriately Suitable Candidate as Contractual Drilling Engineer from among the Eligible Candidates having appeared and secured the Minimum Qualifying 50 Marks in the Walk-in-Interview will be only on the basis of Merit as per the Marks obtained in the Walk-in-Interview.
