Central Government Notifies Amendment Under Section 7 of the Customs Act, 1962

The Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) under the Ministry of Finance recently issued a notification on May 11, 2026, regarding an amendment to an earlier notification.

The central government, using its power under clause (aa) of sub-section (1) read with sub-section (2) of section 7 of the Customs Act, 1962, makes the following amendment in the notification of the Government of India in the Ministry of Finance (No. 12/97-Customs (N.T.)) dated 2nd April 1997.

The following item and entries will be placed in the table, against serial number 8 relating to the state of Madhya Pradesh, in columns (3) and (4), after the item (x) in column (3) and the entries thereto in column (4):

(xi) Village Namli, RatlamUnloading of imported goods and the loading of export goods or any class of such goods.
