CBI Busts Banking Exam Cheating Racket

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has busted a nationwide cheating racket linked to banking recruitment exams and arrested four people, including a Central Goods and Services Tax (CGST) inspector. The network was operating across Delhi, Bihar, Haryana and West Bengal.
The case was registered after the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) filed a complaint. Acting on the complaint, the CBI’s Special Task Branch in Mumbai conducted raids at multiple locations across the four states and arrested the accused.
According to the investigation, the accused allegedly impersonated genuine candidates during different stages of the recruitment process, including written examinations and interviews. Their actions raised concerns over the fairness of public recruitment exams and deprived deserving candidates of a fair chance.
The CBI is continuing its investigation to identify and take action against other people involved in the racket.
